Course Selection & Enrolment in Adelaide

We help international students find and enrol in CRICOS-registered providers in Adelaide — and we advise on how your course choice affects your visa conditions and long-term migration pathway before you commit.

Your Course Choice Affects More Than Your Study Experience

Most international students think about course selection in terms of content, cost, and institution reputation. Those things matter. But for anyone planning to stay in Australia after graduation, the course also determines:

  • Temporary Graduate visa eligibility — the subclass 485 stream you qualify for and how long it lasts depends on your qualification level
  • Skills assessment options — whether your qualification leads to a skills assessment in a skilled occupation affects your permanent residence prospects
  • Points for skilled migration — Australian qualifications add points; some add more than others depending on the level
  • Regional study bonus — studying in a regional area for 2 years adds 5 extra points and extends the 485 visa

We advise on all of this before you enrol — not after you've committed to a course that doesn't suit your migration goals.

What We Help With

Course and Institution Selection

We identify CRICOS-registered providers in Adelaide and South Australia that offer courses matching your study area, English level, and budget. Adelaide's major institutions include the University of Adelaide, University of South Australia, Flinders University, Carnegie Mellon University Australia, and TAFE SA.

We also advise on smaller registered providers for vocational training courses — where the qualification is appropriate and the institution is properly registered.

Enrolment Application Preparation

We assist with preparing and submitting your application to the institution — including academic transcripts, English test scores, personal statements, and any additional documentation the institution requires.

Confirmation of Enrolment and Student Visa

Once you are accepted and receive your Confirmation of Enrolment (CoE), we coordinate the CoE with your student visa application. The two processes need to be timed correctly — the CoE must be current and match the visa application exactly.

OSHC — Overseas Student Health Cover

International students on a subclass 500 are required to hold Overseas Student Health Cover (OSHC) for the full duration of their stay. We advise on OSHC requirements and how to satisfy them.

Visa Conditions and Student Obligations

Student visa holders have obligations — attendance requirements, enrolment in a full-time course, and conditions on working hours. We explain your obligations clearly before you arrive so you know what you need to maintain.

Post-Study Planning

For students who intend to stay in Australia after graduation, we plan the post-study pathway at the beginning — not the end. This includes the Temporary Graduate visa (subclass 485) strategy, skills assessment timing, and the route to skilled migration if that is the goal.

Adelaide as a Study Destination

Adelaide has a growing international student population and a lower cost of living than Sydney or Melbourne — a practical consideration for students managing tuition fees and living costs simultaneously. The city is compact, navigable, and has a strong international community.

South Australia's regional DAMA also creates employment pathways after graduation in regional areas of the state — which can be relevant for students planning to stay in Australia long-term.

Frequently Asked Questions

No — you can apply directly to most institutions. But a registered migration agent who also handles education services can ensure your course choice aligns with your migration goals before you commit. That's the combination we offer — you're not dealing with a separate education agent and a separate migration agent, which often leads to conflicting advice.
The CRICOS register is maintained by the Department of Education and is publicly searchable. All institutions we work with are registered. We verify registration as a standard part of any institution recommendation — unregistered providers cannot legally enrol international students on a Student visa.
English language courses and pathway programs are available at many CRICOS providers. These allow students to improve their English and then transition into their main course. The student visa covers most of these programs. We advise on the right pathway based on your current level and your study goals.
Yes. Your partner and dependent children can apply for student visas as secondary applicants. Their conditions — including work rights — depend on your course level. Partners of postgraduate students generally have unrestricted work rights; partners of undergraduate students have limited work rights.
